Important, Please Read Before Signing Up!

Please know that because the workshop is so close we no longer have rooms held at the Ranch, and unfortunately they just sold out. There are still some options though.

  1. There are few rooms left at the Inn which is across the street, but the rates are exceptional at $617/night.
  2. You can camp! There are first come first serve campgrounds across the street at either Texas
Spring or the Sunset campground. Texas Spring only fills on the weekends and Sunset always has spots available.
  3. Stay at the Stovepipe Wells Hotel which is 30 minutes from Furnace Creek where the workshop is located. There is one room available for $226/night.
  4. Stay in Beatty, Nevada which is a 45-minute drive to Furnace Creek. The rooms here are under $100/day, but be sure you are an early riser so you can leave very early in the morning to make it in time for sunrise shoots!

If you have any questions feel free to reach out!

Best,
David

Hi Reader, April was an incredibly busy month for us, even without a workshop on the calendar. Between launching our 2027 and 2028 workshop schedule, finishing the next issue of Nature Vision Magazine, and continuing to plan the Moab Photography Symposium, it has felt like one of those months where everything was moving at once. We’ll have more symposium news to share soon, including the dates we’ve set for 2027, but for now we’re grateful to have several big pieces starting to come together....

Hi Reader, We hope your spring is off to a good start. Ours has been a bit of a rollercoaster. We were chased out of Death Valley by a heat dome in mid-March and tried heading to Anza-Borrego early, only to find it even warmer. So we took refuge in San Diego for a week, enjoying cooler air, snorkeling, and reconnecting with the ocean. Swimming with sharks and exploring sea caves was incredible, and safe to say, we’re hooked on getting underwater whenever we can. After San Diego, we returned...

Hi Reader, It’s been an incredible month for us here in Death Valley! We’ve been fortunate to experience some truly special conditions, from Lake Manly still lingering on the valley floor to one of the most vibrant wildflower displays we’ve seen in years. Along the way we also had the chance to volunteer at the Dark Sky Festival, lead a workshop for the Death Valley Natural History Association, and finish the month exploring the far reaches of the park with a fantastic group on our off-road...
